Our funeral home at Bo’ness is the first business premises Thomas Cuthell and Sons occupied. Prior to this the joinery workshop and undertaking was handled from the Cuthell family home. Our service room and rest rooms became available for use in 1979. At this time we were still very much a joiners and undertakers premises. Throughout the eighties the joinery side of the business was phased out to concentrate solely on funeral directing.
Today our Bo’ness funeral parlour still has the original service room, which currently has seating for approximately 60 people. In this building we also have a waiting room, main office, three meeting rooms and the restroom. The changing area and canteen facilities are also within this building as many of our team start and finish their day at our Bo’ness site
Bo’ness is where we garage our vehicles. On site we have two buildings where the funeral vehicles are garaged, one of the garages has a wash bay which allows us to maintain the vehicles to the highest possible standard.
Our machine shop is split into to three areas. We have an area for stock coffins, the memorial workshop for lettering memorials and the coffin workshop. Although we no longer produce our own coffins we do still furnish them in house.
There is also a selection of stock memorials available to view at our premises in Bo’ness. This assists the client in making the choice for a fitting memorial for their loved one.
We have two administration staff at our Bo’ness premises who can assist with any funeral or memorial related enquiries.
Our funeral home in Bo’ness is located at Bridgeness Road, and is open Monday to Friday, 9:00am till 5:00pm and customers are welcome to park on the road at the main entrance.
