In 2007 we expanded the business into Falkirk with the purchase of the Old Sherriff Court building. This building, first built in 1888, is now the nerve centre of Thomas Cuthell and Sons. Our Falkirk funeral home is the administrative base for the business. We have four full time administration staff here including our office manager and director Michelle Cuthell.
When Thomas Cuthell and Sons purchased the building an extensive refurbishment programme began. During the refurbishment we were able to install three fabulous stained glass windows in the service room. These stained glass windows were acquired by us many years ago when the Falkirk St Modan’s Church was transformed into housing. Our service room has seating for up to 90 people, and is also used by people visiting the funeral home to pay their respects.
The first floor also has a coffin display room, 2 meeting rooms and toilet facilities. This floor is accessible by lift or stairs.
The ground floor has another meeting room, a waiting area, a restroom and the main office. Some rooms on the ground floor can also be used for a funeral or memorial service, should more intimate surroundings be required.
We have on-site parking available for our clients to use, which is accessible from a lane at the side of our building. There are four administration staff at our Falkirk premises who can assist with any funeral or memorial related enquiries.
Our Falkirk funeral home is located at Hope Street, and is open Monday to Friday 9:00am till 5:00pm and Saturday 9:00am till 12:30pm.
